As with adults, children come to us with different levels of comfort and exposure. Our goal is to make their experience a positive one—in a fun, warm and welcoming environment.

Mascoma Dental encourages children to start visiting the hygienist at age three, but depending on their individual needs and personalities it can be later.

A first visit may consist of a simple ride in the chair, counting teeth, learning how to brush or it may include a full polish and fluoride. Each child is treated as an individual and we proceed at their pace. If other family members are already patients of the practice, we encourage them to bring the younger kids along to observe and play with toys while their sibling or a parent is having their teeth cleaned. An eagerly awaited trip to the treasure chest completes their visit!
